Last Sunday, I got to eat at Lemongrass Asian Bistro at the Shangri-la Mall. My brother and I did not originally want to eat there. But my dad insisted that eat somewhere new. The place actually looked cute. You would really be curious on what food they offered.
Did not get to take a picture of each dish we ordered. We got the Catfish Salad and another appetizer for starters. It was good. For main course, I got the Pho beef noodles because I really adore Vietnamese noodles. The soup was yummy. You could really taste the beef broth. And I was served a generous amount of beef in the soup. But if I have to compare it with other Vietnamese restaurants, it was not as delicious. My brother got the Korean Beef Stew. It was so cute that it had it own stove or chaffing dish. The beef was soft. Kinds of melt in your mouth. The sauce was good. My dad got the cereal crusted shrimp. He actually got to eat there already. It was good. We followed up Vietnamese spring rolls as an extra dish. I was really disappointed with it. The vegetables inside it were a bit too crunchy. I already got to taste authentic Vietnamese spring rolls. The one we ordered was not too awesome.
I was not that impressed with the food that we ordered. I guess it was worth trying, but I probably won't go back there. I can't deny that the food was yummy. Another problem I had was food was expensive. My sister was not even there to eat with us and our bill totaled to almost two thousand pesos.
However, if you love eating Asian dishes and you don't really mind how much you have to pay, this is a nice place to dine and relax. The restaurant is located right in front of Mercury Drug or beside National Bookstore.
